This project consists of reconstructing 800 feet of existing road and new construction of 400 feet of road. In addition 700 feet of road will be decommissioned. Work will include clearing and grubbing of approximately .9 acres, removal of and disposal of an existing culvert, removal of jersey barriers, roadway excavation, culvert installation, seeding, and utilizing an excavator and dump truck on an equipment rental basis. The contractor will be required to salvage fifteen 10ft jersey barriers and stock pile at the Cle Elum Ranger District in a designated area. Erosion control devices shall be installed to limit sediment entering the stream. This includes but is not limited to installing silt and waddles for soil erosion and pollution control. The contractor shall be required to furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals to complete the project. The project can be reached from Cle Elum by driving West on I90 twenty miles, take exit 62. Proceed North on Forest Road 49 for 2 miles. Turn Northwest onto Forest Road 4930, the project is located at MP3 (jersey barriers mark the location).
