The U.S. Department of Agriculture intends to procure a used two-row Case IH 2022 Cotton Picker with gear driven heads and chain metered side unloading system or a Case IH 1822 piker upgraded with 2022 gear driven heads with side unloading system or equal. The picker shall also have completely installed cotton weigh system as specified. The picker must be in A-1 condition and field ready upon delivery. The USDA, ARS has, in conjunction with this purchase, a 1998 John Deere 7455 Self Propelled Cotton Striper with finger stripper head that has 333 hours of operation for a trade-in. Interested parties will be expected to provide pricing for the cotton picker as well as a trade-in cost for the cotton stripper. A full description/requirements of each item will be provided with the invitation for bid solicitation package. Warranty for the picker will be at a minimum of 30 hours of operation. The system will be delivered FOB to the USDA-ARS, Southern Weed Science Laboratory Unit, 141 Experiment Station Road, Stoneville, MS 38776. The successful bidder is also responsible for the pick-up of the trade-in equipment. An IFB with complete specification requirements will be issued on or about December 29, 2004.
