The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC anticipates awarding a sole source purchase order to 3D Systems, Inc. 26081 Avenue Hall, Valencia, CA 91355-1274 for a Viper SI2 Stereolithography system, with option for one (1) additional system. The system shall feature a solid-state laser with the ability to adjust from large spot (0.010") to small spot (0.003") for fine detail work, and shall be precisely focused on the surface of a vat of photo-sensitive resin with an area of 10" X 10", and a depth of 10". The system shall accept Huntsman Sterocol FDA-approved resin as well as resins from DSM Somos, and shall be operated by BuildStation software operating on Mircrosoft Windows XP Operating System. Contractor shall supply resin for system vat and one additional 10-Kg container. Contractor shall provide setup and calibration of system. Contractor to provide warranty on all parts, labor and 3D Systems software upgrades for a period of one (1) year from date of installation. The RFQ is estimated to be issued on or about 23 August, 2004. The exact due date of the proposal will be set forth in the RFQ. It is the Government's intent to award a firm, fixed price, commercial item purchase order as defined by FAR Part 12.
