The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to place an odrer for 200 each Offset Blank Plates from BASF Corp. BASF is the manufacturer of the BEP,s plate processing equipment and the only known source for the required plates. Therefore, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 and 13.106-1. The resulting purchase order shall not exceed the simplified purchase threshold. The procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.106 shall be used. See numbered note 22.
