This is a Sources Sought Synopsis. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. This Sources Sought Synopsis is a market survey being conducted by the St. Louis District, Corps of Engineers to identify crane providers throughout the Mississippi Valley Division area from St Paul, MN down to New Orleans, LA. The attached map denotes lock sites where crane services may be required. The type of cranes sought are 100 Ton Rated Lift Capacity or greater and Barge Mounted or with Barge Application. The type of lifts anticipated would range from 40 tons to 250 tons at a 70 foot radius. Request the length of each boom and the lift capacity at a 70 foot radius. Request the list of equipment brand, model number, age of equipment, location of the contractor home office and Point of Contact name, telephone number and email address. The Government requests interested firms submit one (1) copy of their business size, SAM registration, and NAICS code.

Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary and will be useful in future acquisition planning. The Government will not pay for any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Synopsis. Responses are requested no later than 2:00 p.m., Central Standard Time, July 23, 2013.
