The U.S. Government Printing Office(GPO) has a requirement for a Fuji Saber V8 - Dual Beam Computer to Plate System. Fuji is the manufactured of the previous plate system at GPO and the machine is designed to meet specific and unique technology requirements for the manufacturing of U.S. Passports. The Fuji Saber V8 - Dual Beam Computer to Plate System is designed specially for GPO to apply a security substrate during the manufacturing of the electronic passports. GPO intends to issue a sole source contract in accordance with MMAR 6.302-1 to Fuji Company. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All parties interested may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. See Note 22.
