The contractor shall build, test and deliver Mk 6 Mo d 1  Guidance Program & D5 Life Extension Program driven data file updates for the  MK 98 Mod 6 (US) 347 Software Revision. These  updates shall include  Lockheed Translation (LOCTRAN) Language Data File updates, Missile Test Readiness Equipment ( MTRE) Program f-ile updates and Missile Test Interpreter (MTI) File updates. These efforts will  be managed and approved by the Strategic Systems Program (SSP) Office Branch 23 (SP23), Fire Control Software Working Group (FCSWG).

  

Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamic  Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA.   GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control system and Attack Weapons Control system and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
