The United States Mint San Francisco is seeking qualified business sources that can provide short-term on-site contractor personnel to support various production personnel requirements. These positions will support various Branches under the Coining and Packaging Divisions of the San Francisco Mint. The Material Treatment Branch is responsible for cleaning, annealing, upsetting, and burnishing blanks to an acceptable high quality finish for use in the production of coins. The Coining Pressroom is responsible for producing high quality clad and silver proof coinage by chemically treating, sorting and stamping clad and silver blanks into specific coin denominations, while maintaining numismatic specifications in dimensions and quality. The Packaging Division assembles the proof coins into collectors’ sets and places those sets into cartons using automated assembly equipment. Contractors shall be responsible for recruiting, and supplying qualified personnel for a period of 120 days (with a potential extension of 120 days). It is desired that all personnel have experience in the manufacturing and production environment. The United States Mint will not pay travel expenses.
