NASA/LaRC has a requirement for the fabrication, delivery and installation of one(1) Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) 5-Axis Machining Center. The Machining Centershall be delivered FOB to Langley Research Center, Hampton, Virginia, off loaded andinstalled in Building 1225, Room 101 within 40 weeks after contract award. The MachiningCenter will be used in a research environment for the manufacture of highly accurate andunique aerospace hardware including prototype models, flight test articles, developmentalinstrumentation, and wind tunnel test equipment. Footprint requirements apply. Adetailed statement of work is included as an attachment on the On-Line RFQ system. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation,which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and awritten solicitation will not be issued.
