This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This IS NOT a REQUEST for PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, or BIDS. Responses to this request will not be returned. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation. It is the intent of the Contracting Office to use this information for market research purposes only. The survey is being conducted to determine the interest of industry within NAICS code #336611 – Ship Building and Repairing, and establish that there are adequate Large and/or Small Business (HUBZone, 8(a), Women Owened, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses) contractors for providing one Barge. The Government WILL NOT pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of any such information. If a formal solicitation is released, it will be via the Sam.gov website.

The Army Corps of Engineers Marine Design Center intends to procure one new aluminum crewboat. The crewboat will be a twin-screw, diesel-powered vessel with an aluminum hull and cabin. The vessel is intended to serve the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis Service Base in support of its various missions. The Government is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to identify resources available to provide the vessel.

The vessel shall have the following features:
· Length (molded): Maximum 38’-0”
· Breadth (molded) Maximum 14’-0”
· Depth: 7’-6”
· Draft: 3’-2”

The deckhouse top shall be sloped aft. The deckhouse shall have seating for 18 passengers and a pilot. The vessel will have 2 crew members, a pilot and deckhand.

The vessel shall have a 600-gallon fuel tank. The minimum speed requirements shall allow for the vessel to make 35 MPH transiting upriver, at max payload capacity.

There will be Liquidated Damages associated with this procurement.

Bid guarantee, payment, and performance bonding will be required.

Contractor is expected to deliver this requirement approximately 545 calendar days after notice to proceed (NTP) is received by the awardee.

Notice to potential contractors: All offerors who provide goods or services to the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) located on the website https://sam.gov .
