IFB 306768 2910 FIRST FLOOR INTERIOR REMODEL Pre-Bid Conference: August 20, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Site Visit: August 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Bids Due: September 9, 2021, prior to 3:00:00 p.m. Small Business Enterprise (SBE) goal: 11% Bid Bond: 5% Time for Completion: Four hundred (400) Calendar Days. Capital Metro is seeking a General Contractor to assist in remodeling construction of first-floor administrative offices at 2910 E. 5th Street. The building has three floors. This project is for the remodel construction of the first floor only. Capital Metro will conduct regular business in the facility during the construction period including an active area for bus operators. Capital Metro’s demolition contractor will demolish interior walls and a large concrete staircase prior to the remodel. Remodel construction will include a new lobby, security office and security desk, public restrooms, an application area, a quiet room, breakrooms, vestibule, meeting rooms, one large multi-purpose room, and two large open office areas. The Contractor shall complete construction in accordance with drawings, specifications, and design standards and shall schedule, hold, and manage meetings with all subcontractors and Capital Metro’s Project Manager to define the initial schedule. The Contractor shall maintain the construction schedule and schedule of submittals and shall coordinate all work as required to achieve a fully operational first floor facility within four hundred (400) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall maintain a safe construction site and shall conduct regular safety inspections. The Contractor shall have a dedicated superintendent, with experience in interior remodels of operating buildings. The dedicated superintendent shall be onsite when work is being performed. The Contractor shall also have a project manager that will assist the superintendent and conduct weekly site meetings with Capital Metro’s project manager, superintendent, architect and or engineers and any other necessary attendees.
