This Notice is being posted as a Notice of Intent to make a sole source purchase using other than full and open competition. The USDA, ARS, Photosynthesis Research Unit, Urbana, IL has a requirement/need for 3 additional ozone generators. These generators will be used for in accordance with the following Statement of Work and Salient Characteristics: These ozone generators will be used in combination with other ozone generators already in use and therefore must be compatible with our current equipment. This is critical for maintaining accuracy of the ozone treatment at the Soybean Free air gas Concentration Enrichment (SoyFACE) experiment, where approximately ten different ARS and University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign research groups are conducting research. Must meet or exceed brand name or equal to CFS-3 2G Ozone Generator from Ozonia North America, LLC Salient Characteristics: 1) Ozone generator can be used with either clean, dry air or oxygen as its feed gas source. 2) Delivers up to 165 grams ozone per hour at 10 wt% concentration from 0.75 scfm oxygen with 68 degree F cooling water 3) Dimensions: 28.4" (l) x 14.6" (2) x 31.5" (h) 4) Weight: 155 lbs 6) Can be adjusted to deliver various ozone outputs and concentrations 5) Each ozone generator will require the following utilities: Power: 230V, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz: with direct grounded neutral Cooling Water: 1.19 GPM @ 68 Degrees F, 40-86 degrees F, tap water quality. 6) Feed Gas Inlet Pressure - 35-116 psig (oxygen); 45 - 115 psig (air) 7) Feed Gas Dewpoint -85 degrees F or drier 8) Ambient Conditions: <3000 ft. elevation, <104 degrees F internal temp; <65% avg. annual RH.
