Quantity: 120 each Steel Round Bar 3 inch diameter X 18 to 22 ft lengths, SAE AMS 6348C or SAE AMS 6528B (SAE 4130) normalized, except macrostructure shall be no worse than S1-R1-C1 IAW ASTM E381-01. Material shall be ultrasonically tested IAW AMS-STD-2154 Class A. Substitute material will not be considered. The vendor can follow either of two specifications. Specification SAE AMS 6348C: Condition of the steel, per paragraph 3.2.2 may be either "hot finished and normalized or normalized and cold finished". Specification SAE AMS 6528B: Condition stated in paragraph 3.2.1 is "Hot rolled and normalized..." and, as stated in paragraphs 3.2.1.2 and 3.2.1.3, either cold finished or cold drawn surface may be supplied. Steel bars shall be packaged 5 bars per bundle. A waterproof tag with contract number, mark for information and heat code number shall be attached to each bar. Each steel bar shall be metal stamped on both ends with heat code number in characters not larger than 1/4 inch high. Material and ultrasonic testing certification is required. Price will include delivery to Lakehurst, NJ. Required Delivery Date is not later than (NLT) 100 days after receipt of order (ARO). Quote price per bar (each). Quotes are due by COB 06 July 2009.
