The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to procure Expi293^TM Expression Medium, Quantity: 400 each, from Life Technologies Corporation, 3175 Staley Road, Grand Island, New York 14072.  293FECTIN, 15 ML 15 ML, quantity of 40 each, 293fectin Transfection Reagent is a proprietary, cationic lipid-based formulation for transfecting DNA into eukaryotic cells. This reagent is optimized for transfecting suspension 293 human embryonic kidney cells. Any other similar product would result in changes to the existing experiment.

This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible.  All responsible sources who feel they can meet these requirements may submit an offer that will be considered by the Agency.  A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Offers must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M.
