Description: See numbered notes 9, 12, and 26. NSN 2990-01-188-3281—Muffler, Exhaust. Used on utility truck model M998. Metal tag or metal stamp is acceptable reference to MIL-STD-130. Exceptions to drawing 12338309 revision D: Note 2A: substitute the following: ‘using the HMMWV vehicle with 6.2L engine, noise level test required in accordance with MIL-STD-1474A, Military Standard Titled: ‘Noise Limits’, para 5.3, exterior noise, for motor vehicles less than or equal to a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 lbs, exterior sound level limit of 83 DBA per test procedure SAR J986.’ Note 2B: Backpressure testing also requires HMMWV vehicle with 6.2L engine. Being bought in accordance with Army (19207) drawing 12338309 and all related documents. Estimated annual quantity is 2824 each to be shipped to various stock locations within CONUS. The FOB is destination. This solicitation is an RFP and will be available on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp after the issue date of 06/20/03. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. The Small Business size standard is 750 employees. FEDERAL, MILITARY AND COMMERCIAL SPECIFICATIONS CANNOT BE PROVIDED BY DSCC. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total shall not exceed 5 years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This is an Indefinite Quantity Type Contract. A written quotation is required.
