The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System (VA), in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Bright Idea Energy Solutions for Windmill. NAICS 333611 applies; Size Standard 1,000 employees. The Contractor shall provide all parts, materials, labor (work includes general construction, alterations and electrical work), supervision, test equipment, and manufacturing necessary to provide and install a new 10 kW windmill electrical generator. Model No. MGU25 with a WGU25 rectifier. Contractor shall also provide and install a new monitor to be located in a public location at the site, exact location to be determined by the VA, which will display a live video feed of the windmill along with real time data on electrical production, total electricity produced by the unit and the tons of C02 that is not being put into the atmosphere due to the electrical production of this windmill. Windmill shall be installed on top of the elevator penthouse of Building 1W at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, Performance period is 180 days. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government.
