The contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, special tooling, test equipment and materials for the maintenance and overhaul of the T55-GA-714A Engine (NSN: 2840-01-458-5361; P/N: 2-001-020-39). The quantity is 80 each. Based upon market research, the Government is using the policies contained in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described requirement. This solicitation will be awarded as a modification to contract W58RGZ-04-D-0215. There is no Depot Maintenance Work Requirement available for this requirement therefore this award will be Sole Source to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Honeywell International Inc. (02LU7) Tempe, AZ. These items are being procured pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy this agencys requirements. Honeywell Inc. is the only known source with the necessary design, manufacturing, production and process data capable to perform the required manufacturing for this effort. Any competing contractor could not be familiar with the total design parameters, specific parts requirements and test processes etc., for the T55-GA-714A Engine. This item has been published in AMCOMs Competition Advocates Shopping List (CASL), June 2009.
