The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWCPCD) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Taylor Devices, Inc. 90 Taylor Drive, North Tonawanda, NY 14120-6894 for the purchase of 13 each Taylor Suspension Systems, Part Number 67DP-17371-01C. Taylor Devices, Inc. has been engaged in the design, marketing, and manufacturing of suspension systems that have been incorporated into the Mark V Special Operations Craft. This requirement is not suitable for full and open competition for the following reasons. (1) Parts must be compatible with parts and equipment originally manufactured for or specifically incorporated into the Mark V Special Operations Craft; (2) The Government does not own the technical data packages or specifications to compete this procurement; (3) Taylor Devices, Inc is engaged in the design, development, manufacture and marketing of suspension systems and has become a key equipment and service provider for the US Navy; (4) This s! uspension system has been tested, certified and approved “For Navy Use” by the Naval Sea System Command and United States Navy Special Warfare Command. The Request for Quote number is N61331-08-T-8009. The expected award date will be on or around 14 April 2008. The NAICS code is 333995 and the size standard is 500 employees. The resultant contract shall be a firm fixed price purchase order.
