The work to be performed consists, in general, of the addition of one lane in each direction along SR-178 (24th Street within the City Jurisdiction) from the westerly limit of the Kern River Bridge to the Union Avenue Exit Ramp, replacement of existing pavement, drainage improvements, construction of sound walls, traffic signal improvements, grading, retaining wall, culvert extension, landscaping, irrigation, and adjacent private property curative work.
