NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CITY OF QUINCY, ILLINOIS Sealed bids for the 24th & Ellington Road Force Main Relocation (MU 021) Project in Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, Suite 129, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 30th, 2023, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber. The City of Quincy’s MU 021 Project consists of removing and replacing 444 feet of 10 inch sanitary sewer force main along the west side of North 24th Street (IL 96) south of Ellington Road. The work includes 0.7 acres of tree removal, 3740 cu yds of earth excavation, erosion control, seeding, and related improvements. All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
