The City of Greenville is seeking a qualified consultant for traffic management services to establish, manage, maintain, and operate the City’s Traffic Management Center (TMC). Work in this contract shall include, but not be limited to, guiding the city on space utilization, equipment procurement, and coordination with stakeholders to establish the TMC. Additionally, the selected firm shall perform all administrative functions relative to staffing day-to-day operations of the facility including, but not be limited to actively managing, maintaining, and operating Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices utilized to achieve the desired outcomes of the program. The TMC will be located at 204 Halton Road near the I-385/Roper Mountain Rd interchange approximately five miles east of Downtown. During the term of the contract with the consultant, the City of Greenville will hire full-time personnel to assist with management and prepare to take over TMC management and operations. The consultant will be responsible for training the city’s full-time personnel.
