The Department of Veterans Affairs, Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) has a requirement for consignment for stents. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price contract. The Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the purchase and delivery of the stents to the Tucson VA. Unique Features: The purpose of this procurement is to create a consignment contract to continuously supply stock levels of Coronary Stents as candidate items for consolidated contracting through the Prosthetics Sensory Aid Service (PSAS) at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS). The purpose of the consolidated contracting is to obtain user uniformity and quality products at lower than current contract and open-market prices by creating a consignment contract and not having to pay for replacing expired stents the potential savings. A one year contract, and four option years is desired. The cardiologists will use these products in circumstances where they feel it is the best treatment for the patient as each patient is unique. This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), capable of performing the requirements to warrant a socio-economic set-aside or sole source. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database.
