This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals a re being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.This solicitation, number W81GYE-04-T-0053, is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This is a 100% Small Business Set-aside solicitation. The associated NAICS code is 332999 and the bu siness size standard is 500 employees. The contract will be Firm-Fixed Price with delivery to the designated locations within 90 days from date of award. Delivery of 72� and 58� all aluminum construction Railcar Spanner Plates with a working load capacity of at least 17,000 pounds each with a built in safety factor of at least 2:1. Tapered ends, no curbs, 24� or wider, non-skid surface, 3� or longer clips on the underside of the spanners, 10-12� from the ends with an angle to minimi ze slippage, and a maximum spanner weight of 85 pounds.
