The Government intends to acquire scrap railroad wheels using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL)requires scrap railroad wheels with approximates weights of 1100, 840, and 710 pounds with certain specifications as outlined in the solicitation. Delivery to be made FOB Seattle, WA. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed price Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract consisting of a base year and two (2) additional one-year options. Delivery order(s) will be issued on an as-needed basis with minimum and maximum ordering levels established. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside and is under North American Industry Classification System code 421930 with a small business size standard of 500 employees.
