The City through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management is seeking bids for the renovations of the existing kitchen at Warner School. The construction project will include site-work, plumbing, electrical, and heating and ventilation. The City of Springfield, invites electronic bids from Prime Contractors and Filed Sub-Bidders through biddocsonline. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes. Chapter 149 requires that the Prime/General Contractor be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the category, “General Contractor.” Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be received until 2:00PM on May 19, 2022, publicly opened, forthwith online. Filed sub-bid for the trades listed below will be received until 12:00PM on May 11, 2022, and publicly opened, forthwith online. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below, and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder’s Update Statement. SUBTRADES Plumbing Heating and Ventilation Electrical Estimated cost of the project is Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000.00). The Sub- Bidders will be required to pay State Prevailing Wages whenever applicable. This project is subject to the City’s Responsible Employer Ordinance. Site Visit: Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit scheduled for May 3, 2022 at 9:00 AM. This meeting will provide an opportunity for interested parties to inspect the site and all particulars and resolve questions regarding the scope of work, existing conditions and the specifications. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to BidDocs ONLINE Inc. to cover mail-handling costs.
