Sealed bids are requested for this work. The proposed work consists of (including all other necessary and appurtenant work) the following: removing and disposing of asbestos-cement (AC) and ductile iron pipe water mains; decommissioning AC water mains; installing six-inch (6"), eight-inch (8"), twelve-inch (12"), and twenty-inch (20") diameter ductile iron pipe water main with and without restrained joint fittings; removing valves and installing gate valves; removing and replacing service lines; removing and replacing hydrants; installing twelve-inch (12") storm sewer pipe and catch basin; permitting; construction survey and staking; material testing; project temporary traffic control; temporary water service and construction sequencing; temporary water pollution and erosion prevention; utility potholing; removing and replacing road pavement including driveway entrances, sidewalk, and curb and gutter; planing bituminous pavement and installing asphalt overlay; restoring the site including property restoration; and other related work.
