Sealed bids for construction of 2023 Millen CDBG will be received until September 18th, 2024, 11 AM at the City of Millen City Hall at 919 College Avenue, Millen, Georgia 30442 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work shall consist of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to perform the following: Sewer rehabilitation of 1,035 LF of 12" HDPE sewer mains using the pipe burst method, water system improvements including 1,100 LF of 6" PVC and 450 LF of 2" PE water main, as well as drainage and road improvements. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier¿s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Funding is to be provided by the CDBG Program which is administered by DCA. Funding is also provided by the City of Millen. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. This agreement is for services related to a project that is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (¿IIJA¿), Pub.
