Sealed bids for the 2022 Alley Improvements (MR 668) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, Suite 129, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber. The City of Quincy’s MR 668 Project consists resurfacing 43 alleys at various locations in the City of Quincy. Work includes an estimated 4230 tons of hot-mix-asphalt, 1248 square yards of PCC driveway pavement, 200 feet of storm sewers, 4 inlets, and related improvements. All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
