Opportunity Summary The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW), West Region Wildlife Research Program, is seeking a contractor (hereafter "Contractor" or "Provider") to provide a helicopter, experienced pilot, fuel truck with driver, 2-5 person wildlife capture crew, net gun, and capture equipment for the capture up to 25 pregnant (Cow) elk from Tioga Wildlife Management Units (WMU) in Western Oregon. Elk are a premier big game species in Western Oregon. This species has high social, economic, aesthetic and hunting values. ODFW is planning on collaring and releasing 25 pregnant (Cow) elk for monitoring their movements and survival. ODFW has authorization to conduct wildlife management activities under ORS. 496.012 with related tag issuance under ORS. 496.146 (4).
