Invitation for Bid #20080 Water Pollution Control Facility Improvements Sub bids new opening date is Friday, May 22, 2020 at 11:00 am General Bids new opening date is Monday, June 1, 2020 at 11:00 am The City of Gloucester seeks sealed bids, Bid #20080, for improvements to the WPCF. Work includes but not limited to the construction of a new sodium hypochlorite chemical building, sludge thickening process piping modifications, chlorine contact tank piping modifications, thickened sludge rotary press SCADA modifications and select demolition work. The sodium hypochlorite building will include: a pre-fabricated metal building system; chemical storage tanks and chemical feed systems; and associated structural, architectural, process piping, instrumentation and controls, plumbing, HVAC and electrical work. Prevailing Wage Rates shall apply. A bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid price must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid price. DCAMM Certified Contractors are sought for the following category: " Sewage & Water Treatment Plants”. DCAMM Certified Subcontractors are sought for the following categories of work: Painting, Plumbing, Misc. & Ornamental Iron, Heating Ventilation and AC, Electrical work. Sub Bids are due and will be opened at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, City Hall, 9 Dale Ave., Gloucester, MA 01930 no later than May 20, 2020 at 11:00 am May 22, 2020 at 11:00 am. General Bids are due and will be opened May 27, 2020 at 11:00 am June 1, 2020 at 11:00 am at the same address no later than Bid packages will be available at the Purchasing Office beginning on April 29, 2020 upon receipt of a $75.00 refundable deposit.
