The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the construction of the Millennium Trail - McDonald Woods to Route 45 connection in accordance with the Contract Documents. The work includes the construction of approximately 1100 lineal feet of 12-foot-wide aggregate trail which will link existing trails at Grant Woods Forest Preserve and the Millennium Trail to the newly completed trail along the US Route 45 Milburn Bypass in Lindenhurst, Illinois. The trail work includes but is not limited to vegetation removal, topsoil stripping, grading, drainage, trail construction, topsoil respread and seeding. Owner will receive sealed Bidder’s Proposals for the Work until the date and time specified above at Owner’s General Offices, 1899 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville, Illinois 60048, at which time, or as soon thereafter as possible, all Bidder’s Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders or their agents are invited to be present. Late bids will not be accepted.
