The US Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command, Atlantic, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Wartsila Lips, Inc. for 2 MX9 Shaft Seal Major Overhaul Kits under the authority of FAR 6.302. Wartsila Lips possesses necessary proprietary data to provide this product. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government will consider all quotes received within 9 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
