The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic intends to issue a purchase order for Wartsila-Lips Major Overhaul Kit for 210B Class USCG Vessels, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This requirement is being solicited on a Brand Name basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR Subpart 6.302-1. John Crane Lips is the only company that has the technical proprietary data necessary to manufacture the required parts. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339991, Gasket, Packing and Sealing Device Manufacturing, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The acquisition is for a major overhaul kit MX9 for 210 Class vessels, part number WLP001307-001. The kit will be delivered F.O.B Destination to the USCG Yard, USCG ELC, Building 24/Receiving, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226. The required delivery date is January 2, 2004. Items shall be packed, packaged, and marked in accordance with commercial standards. The original equipment manufacturer’s best standard commercial warranty is requested and shall be identified in the vendor’s quote.
