NA The Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a need for a Supply contract consisting of furnishing all major mechanical, electrical and control equipment that are to be used for an updgrade of the existing tow haulage system located at the Braddock Loc ks and Dams on the Monongahela River, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The main mechanical equipment to be supplied under this contract includes: two (2) variable speed, reversible, hydraulically powered drum winches; one-thousand (1,000) feet of 3/4 inch steel cable; four (4) 36-inch sheaves with bases; two (2) hydraulic power units with electro-hydraulic controls; two (2) specially fabricated mechanical towing bitts; and an electrically motorized 2 HP retriever winch with 1/4 inch steel cable . The main electrical/control equipment to be suppied under this contract includes; two (2) main starter panels; two (2) main control stations; and a retriever winch starter panel with remote pushbutton controller. All equipment supplied under this contr act will be delivered to Braddock Locks and Dam. The period of performance will be 180 calendar days. The specifications will be available approximately 23 July 2003 and will be provided free of charge. This procurement is unrestricted.
