1. Remove and/or protect interference's fron damage and contamination,including kingposts, sliding block chains, motors, winches, wire rope cables, sprinkler knozzles, deck drains, elevators, vent openings, etc. Protection shall be approved by the MSCREP prior to balsting operations.
2. Abrasive blast existing non-skid surfaces to an SSPC SP-10, utilizing recoverable bead blasting equipment, 01 level deck, frame 100 port, starboard, and centerline to forward most end of deck.
3. Notify the MSCREP and AMERON Paint Rep. for inspection of SSPC SP-10 surfaces.
4 When approved by the MSCREP apply one coat of GFM 137 Ameron paint at 5-6 mils DFT.
5. Notify the MSCREP and AMERON Paint Rep. for inspection of primer coat application.
6. When approved by the MSCREP apply one coat of GFM 138HR non-skid in accordance with manufactures recommendation.
7. Notify the MSCREP and AMERON Paint Rep. for inspection of non-skid application.
8. Paint and non-skid application shall meet AMERON's application data requirements.
9. An AMERON Paint Rep. shall be provided by the Government to witness and inspect paint and non-skid application.
10. Paint is available aboard ship at this time. Non-skid order is scheduled to be made on 8-22-03.
