Sealift Logistics Command Pacific has a requirement for at least two (2) and possibly four (4) sets of commercial lifeboat-tenders with associated davits for use onboard USNS MERCY and potentially onboard USNS COMFORT. These lifeboat-tenders and davits must be USCG approved at time of delivery and must comply with SOLAS requirements (applicable to the lifeboat tenders) and must be capable of carrying 150 passengers (in a lifeboat configuration) or 80 passengers (in a tender configuration). Solicitation will be issued as "full and open" competition under solicitation number N62383-05-R-4036. The anticipated issue date for the solicitation is on or before 23 December 2006.
