The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a contract with Vericor Power Systems LLC, 3625 Brookside Pkwy, Suite 5000, Alpharetta, Georgia 30022 for assembly, testing and delivery of 24 SLEP and 4 Pack-up Kit (PUK) ETF40B marine gas turbine engines in FY 2006 with an option for an additional 24 SLEP and 4 PUK ETF40B marine gas turbine engines in FY 2007. The resultant contract will include, specifically, the procurement of power producer groups along with the teardown, inspection, repair, modification, reassembly, test and service necessary to restore output group hardware to operating condition. As the sole manufacturer of the E/TF40B marine gas turbine engine, Vericor Power Systems is the only known firm possessing the background, technical knowledge, data, and facilities to deliver these supplies within the required timeframe.
