Trawler vessel needed for charter by the National Marine Fisheries Service for survey of Pacific salmon ecology in the North Pacific Ocean in 2006 for 40 days, with an option for the government to add up to 20 additional days, and options to extend performance for 4 additional years. Charter to start on or about August 15, 2006 in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Minimum vessel length 120 ft, minmum main engine continuous horsepower 1200, completely rigged and ready to fish w/commercial scale trawl rigging, two net reels, split trawl winches, clean and flush deck area of at least 600 sq ft, protected covered and lighted area on deck, accomodations for captain and crew (5 individuals) and a scientific party of four or more of mixed gender. This is 100% small business set-aside. The small business size standard is a gross annual income no greater than $6.5 million per year. All responsible, responsive offers will be considered.
