The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a modifications to contract N00024-06-C-2203 with L-3 Services., Unidyne Division, 3835 E. Princess Anne Rd, Norfolk, VA, 23502 to add requirements to support Government INSURV inspection on Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) 36 and LCAC 69. Contract N00024-06-C-2203 is for FY06/07 Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) of six LCAC, including LCAC 36 and LCAC 69. Theise contract modifications will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. INSURV is the final inspection/certification required prior to returning the craft(s) to the Navy for service. L-3 Services intimate knowledge of all systems and modifications as a result of their performance of the SLEP for these specific LCACs makes them the only contractor that can reasonably perform the INSURV support to support agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
