The City of Reading is seeking proposals for engineering Services to assist the City of Reading Public Works Department by providing design, bidding and construction phase assistance Services for the 18th WONDER Curb Ramp Project and the Hancock and East Wyomissing Boulevard Paving Project (collectively the “Projects”). The proposal shall detail the tasks and deliverables for the work with associated hours and costs by staff. A lump sum, not to exceed price shall be provided all Services. SCOPE OF SERVICES The selected consulting firm (the “Consultant”) shall provide design, bidding and construction phase Services to assist Public Works with both of these Projects. This Services contract will be awarded to one consultant for the Services for both Projects. Both projects are interrelated and will require coordinated designs. The consulting Services contract will be funded under the City’s CDBG and Liquid Fuels Fund programs, and the construction Projects will be funded with PennDOT TAP funding and Liquid Fuels Funds. The Consultant shall separate the invoicing for their Services according to the time and materials spent on each Project such that those fees can be appropriately applied to the corresponding funding source. Clarification: This RFP outlines the scope of work for the “18th WONDER Curb Ramp Project – Engineering Services”, originally issued in April, 2018. That services contract was not awarded. The Scope of Work in this RFP includes the Services for the previous curb ramp project plus the Hancock and East Wyomissing Boulevard paving project.
