The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to negotiate a contract for the procurement of 2 each, P/N 735000-1, CASS Operational Test Program Sets, (OTPS) for the APG-65 Radar. The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment and consumable supplies to manufacture in its entirety. This requirement is for supplies for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure from DRS Sustainmnet, Inc. under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c ) (1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1 and under an approved Justification and Approval (J&A). DRS Sustainment is the only company with requisite knowledge and technical capability to manufacture of P/N FPG8601. Firms that recognize and produce the required item described are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
