The acquisition is being pursued on an application for brand name descriptions under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, an acquisition that uses brand name description to specify a particular brand name product or feature of a product peculiar to one manufacturer, in this case Aeroflex Inc. The items listed are components of an Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) bench tester and are required to support the AN/UPX-41(C) Mode 5 Interrogator Set. The items requested could be competitively obtained through Aeroflex , Inc Distributors Testmart and iGov. In this case Testmart was selected.
