The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to award a contract modification to Honeywell International, Military Customer Support, Tempe, AZ. The modification to the existing commercial services contract will add depot level maintenance, field support services, engineering support services, and all repair parts necessary to support the Honeywell T55-GA-714A jet engine for the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) and USSOCOM. The modification will also raise the contract ceiling to $88.6 million. Performance period will end 31 Dec 2006. This contract action does not provide for full and open competition. Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is FAR 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Honeywell is the designer, developer, and manufacturer of these engines and owns all proprietary data. Services shall be performed at the Honeywell facility in Greer, SC. DPAS assigned rating is D0-A1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however any proposals submitted by responsible sources will be considered.
