The Navy has identified a requirement to procure a replacement Environmental Control System (ECS) controllers for T45C Aircraft. McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of, the Boeing Company has been identified as a procurement source for this requirement. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price sole source modification to MDC for a CLASS I âOâ Coded Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) for production and retrofit replacement the T-45C ECS controllers. Production installation is planned for Aircraft C129/A212 and subsequent Aircraft in production. Retrofit replacement is planned for non-production Aircraft T002, A001 through A083, C001/A084 thorough C128/A211. This effort may be procured utilizing two separate contract awards: 1) T-45C Production contract modification for the non-recurring ECS installation, and, 2) Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) delivery order award for retrofit replacement ECS Kits. The expected contract award(s) date is March 10, 2006.
