This synopsis is being issued to correct and clarify the original synopsis of solicitation SP0740-01-R-5071 as issued on August 17, 2001. The scope of the original solicitation, and of the resulting contract SP0740-01-D-9726 is, in fact, all non-commercial items that are sole source to Parker Hannifin Aerospace Group (under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c )(1)). As NSNs, believed to be sole source, are identified for possible addition to contract SP0740-01-D-9726, they will be synopsized. Any and all interested offerors will have the opportunity to compete. Awards have been made, and will continue to be made, on an all-or-none basis by NSN. If a source other than Parker Hannifin submits an acceptable offer, the NSN will not be added under this contract since its scope is sole source items. Many of the NSNs that the Government currently believes to be sole source to Parker Hannifin Aerospace Group are contained in FSCs 1620, 1650, 1660, 1680, 2810, 2840, 2910, 2915, 2990, 2995, 3020, 3040, 3110, 3120, 4320, 4710, 4810, 4820, 5310, 5330, 5365, 5930, 5945, 6105, 6115, and 6685. The contract contains options to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total contract term shall not exceed 12 years. This is an unrestricted acquisition and the Small Business size standard is 1500. This synopsis will further serve to withdraw and replace the notice dated January 29, 2002, which advertised 48 NSNs for possible addition to contract SP0740-01-D-9726. These 48 NSNs are non-commercial items that are believed to be sole source to Parker Hannifin Aerospace Group. These NSNs, along with 54 additional NSNs that are non-commercial and believed to be sole source to Parker Hannifin Aerospace Group, will be posted on the World Wide Web at: http://www.dscc.dla.mil/programs/corporate_contracts.
