The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, NJ F/A-18 program intends to place a sole-source contract with NDT Engineering Corporation Kent, WA for the procurement of seven (7) Special Purpose EC Kits to perform non-destructive inspection. The NEC-8123 Inspection Kit consists of eight (8) bolt hole probes and one (1) Titanium reference standard. The eight (8) probes shall consist of the following diameter Bolt Hole Scanner Probe sizes: 0.098", 0.128", 0.161", 0.191", 0.222", 0.252", 0.312" and 0.343". The Titanium reference standard shall be 0.125" thick sheet made form 6AI-4V titanium alloy. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may or may not be used by the Government in determining whether or not to open this requirement to competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
