The Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center-Yuma, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract. The manufacturer of the brand name item that is being solicited is Sun Path Products, Inc., 404 W. Edinborough Ave., Raeford NC 28376. The Military Freefall School at YPG requires Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. These parts have to be manufactured by Sun Path Products, Inc. because if there is even a slight chance that the repair parts aren't made exactly to specification, there is a high probability of a parachute malfunction, which could result in death. This procurement is covered by the United States Special Operations Command, Premeditated Airdrop Systems Approved and Authorized Use List, JUL2010. This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures per FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.
