The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract to Raytheon Company Electronics Systems for an IMPLC Follow On Production Contract. The AN/ALE-50(V) Countermeasures Decoy Dispensing Set (CMDDS) is installed in F/A-18E/F, F-16, B-1B aircraft. The system consists of a decoy, the Advance Airborne Expendable Decoy (AAED), a launch controller, decoy magazine and launcher. The decoy is towed behind the aircraft and designed to seduce incoming air-to-air and surface-to-air Radio Frequency missiles away from the aircraft. The system is also a component of the Integrated Defensive Electronics Countermeasure (IDECM) program. The Integrated Multi-Platform Launch Controller (IMPLC) is the launch controller component of the AN/ALE-50 (V) CMDDS and IDECM. Its purpose is to deploy, to provide power and communications to and, at the appropriate time, to sever either the ALE-50 Advanced Airborne Expendable Decoy (AAED) or the IDECM Fiber Optic Towed Decoy (FOTD). This contract will cover Production Years 7 through 11.
