This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) # W91243-05-Q-0010. The provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation and subsequent Circulars. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and a small business set a side. The NAICS code is 336413. The business size standard is 1000 employees. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. Aircraft engine covers are intake engine covers for the KC-135R model, CFM56 engine. Material color: Red. Four (4) covers per set. Manufacturer: Bruce's Custom Covers, Sunnyvale CA. Part number KC135-160 or equal. Or equal characteristics are as follows. KC-135R Tambouri ne type double fold intake covers should be designed to be easily installed by one person. Should be a flat vinyl fabric panel built around a folding circular frame made of foam-padded stainless steel tubing, with stainless steel and aluminum components. Each cover should attach at two points on the nacelle (3 O clock and 9 O clock positions) with ball-lock pins. The Double-Fold design folds twice, down to a dimension of about 56 inc x 24 inch x 4 inch, and should come with storage cases.
