This announcement is for the sole source procurement of additional quantities of Cooler Dewar Groups and Dewar-Detectors. The US Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command intends to issue a modification to contract DAAB07-00-D-D3 29 to acquire additional Cooler-Dewar Groups and Detector-Dewars from BAE Systems. These modules are First Generation Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) common modules that are used in multiple US Army systems including the AN/TAS-4A Tube Launched Optically Tracked Wire Guided Missile Night Sight Sensor, the M1 and M60 Battle Tanks, Bradley Fighting Vehicle and Apache Attack Helicopter. The contract will be amended to extend the ordering period to 28 February 2007 and increase the ceiling by $43.5M to permit the acquistion of additional Cooler-Dewar Groups and Detector-Dewars. The contractor is BAE of Lexington, MA. The Government does possess a performance specification, however, it addresses only form, fit and function information. The Government does no t possess a Technical Data Package suitable for a competitive acquisition.
